Franchise Driving Instructor
Join our Driving Team here at Driving Equality as a Franchise Driving Instructor. Whether you a Manual or an Automatic Instructor, we're always looking to expand our team with likeminded individuals from both categories who can help achieve our goals and support our communities.
Company overview
We are a professional driving school with socially conscious aims. Our main role is to provide high quality driving tuition for a wide range of students from all backgrounds and with a variety of needs.
At Driving Equality, community support is valued over corporate gain. Our charitable initiatives provide free tuition for those who need it most and our social media channels offer free and engaging driving tips to all. As a business we pride ourselves on being open and transparent in our practices and carry out our duty of care with the upmost professionalism.
In time we hope to provide positive and quantifiable change to the driving space, removing entry barriers for everyone.
Your role
We're looking to expand our team with caring, supportive, professional driving instructors who want to be a key part of our goals. As an instructor with Driving Equality, you’ll be delivering top-tier lessons and positive driving experiences, helping and teaching students of all backgrounds on their journey to independence and success. - Light administrative tasks, including payment tracking, scheduling and student communication
- Communication with our team to keep us updated on your student test passes and availability for new lessons
- Maintaining your vehicle to a clean, safe, and professional standard
Your requirements
To be eligible to apply for our franchise instructor opportunity, we have certain requirements that we need you to have before submitting any job applications. We require you to:

- Meet our standards for being a fit and proper person, this will include providing personal and professional references, undertaking an informal interview and undertaking a two lesson observation.
- Be able to provide you own dual-controlled vehicle for this role. If you do not meet these criteria, we can assist in fitting dule controls in your current car. We can also provide advice on purchasing or leasing a suitable vehicle.
Your package
On top of a rewarding working experience, giving back to our communities and a supportive work environment, you'll also have access to a generous package of other benefits working for Driving Equality. These include:

How does our Franchise Deal work?
Our ethical approach prioritises community support over commercial gain, and as such, we only charge £36.00 per week to join our team. This is used to support your work and our charitable initiatives.
We do however require you to deliver 30 hours worth of charitable lessons every year. We will arrange this on your behalf from our approved list of charities.
Upon joining Driving Equality, you instantly qualify for 4 weeks of payment break every year. There’s no ongoing contract trapping you in. We proudly advertise our franchise offer with full transparency (Unfortunately this is extremely rare in our industry). This ensures you are treated fairly and that all of our instructors are providing an equal contribution.
You also retain the freedom to manage your own personal driving portfolios (providing it doesn’t make use of our logo, imagery, templates, wording or any other intellectual property).
Driving Equality has industry-leading infrastructure that is consistently updated and managed on your behalf. This is used to meet your business needs such as providing students that fit your schedule.
We also provide a clear non-negotiable pricing model that is updated yearly to remain competitive to your local area. This ensures you receive a clear and fair income.
Reasonable support in other fields can also be offered based on circumstance and need.
You will be provided with a work e-mail, access to our online booking platform, a branded top box and promotional materials. We will also help handle student inquiries and ensure you enjoy a regular supply of students via our company advertisements.
Driving Equality will not make direct financial gains from your work with us. Instead, we reinvest all of our profits into improving the company and enhancing the resources you’ll have at your disposal.
From its inception, Driving Equality’s mission has been to ensure that those who have the greatest need of driving skills can freely acquire them. We aim to realise this ambition by appointing new instructors and expanding into new areas, this enables us to expand the scope of our charitable initiatives.
Due to the high demand for our invaluable driving support, we are continuing to develop high-quality, freely accessible online resources to assist our students through the learning process. We wish to see a future where people are no longer priced out of gaining vital life skills.
